Connect your own AI tool to your portal data
You already use AI. For emails, quotes, summaries and analyses. ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot has become part of how you work. But your most valuable data, your billing, your customer data and your margins, sits somewhere else. In the ResalePortal. Cut off from precisely the tool you use every day.
Fuse AI Connector connects those two worlds. Once the connection is active, you ask questions from your own AI tool, without opening the portal. Read-only, activated in one click and live within three minutes.
In brief
- Connect your own ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot directly to your portal data.
- Ask questions without opening the portal, in the tool you already work in anyway.
- Read-only. You retrieve insights, nothing is changed.
- No lock-in. Your choice of AI tool, we only provide the connection.
- Activate in one click via the Fuse AI page in your portal. 60 days free, then 50 euros per user per month.

AI adoption in Dutch business is moving fast. In 2024, 22.7 percent of companies with ten or more employees already used at least one AI technology, almost 9 percentage points more than a year earlier. In the information and communication sector, which covers IT service providers and MSPs, that figure was by far the highest at 58 percent. Source: CBS AI Monitor 2024.
Your AI knows everything except what happens in your company
The pattern is the same everywhere. You open your AI tool, ask a smart question and get a good answer. Until you ask something about your own company. Which customer bought less this month? On which service do I make the most margin? Then it stops, because that information is not in the model.
The usual workaround is copy and paste. You export an overview, paste it into the chat window and hope for a usable answer. That works once. It is labour-intensive, error-prone and it means sensitive customer data is manually dragged off somewhere. For occasional use that is awkward. As a structural way of working it is untenable.
The real problem is not that AI can do too little. It is that AI is blind to your organisation. As long as that blindness exists, AI remains a writing aid instead of an analysis partner.
What Fuse AI Connector does
Fuse AI Connector connects your own AI tool to your portal data via a direct connection. Once the connection is active, you simply ask your questions in ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot and the answer comes from your own billing and customer data in the ResalePortal.
In concrete terms that means: which customers are at risk of leaving this month, which services deliver the highest margin and where are my opportunities. Questions you would normally ask in the portal, asked in the environment where you already work anyway. Without logging in, without exporting and without switching screens.
The distinction from Fuse AI Insight is where you work, not what you can ask. Fuse AI Insight works in the portal and requires no AI tool of your own. Fuse AI Connector brings that same capability to your own tool. Those who already work with AI usually choose the Connector, those who do not start with Insight.
Expert insight
With an AI connection the risk is never in the protocol. It is in the permissions of the account the AI works with.
That is the architectural detail every IT lead should know. In a connection, an AI model gets no direct access to your systems. It requests data via an intermediate layer, and that intermediate layer is the control point. What happens there with authentication, authorisation and logging determines the entire risk profile. A connection without those controls gives the AI everything the underlying account may do, without limitation and without a trace. A connection with those controls is demonstrably safer than the export files employees send around themselves today. The question for a management team is therefore not whether you connect AI to your data, but who manages the control point.

How the connection works
The connection follows the standard that is now widely supported for AI integrations: the Model Context Protocol. It is an open standard, originally developed by Anthropic, with which AI tools communicate securely with external systems in a uniform way. Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot support the protocol.
In practice it works in three steps. You ask a question in your own AI tool. The tool determines which data is needed and requests it from the connection with the ResalePortal. The connection retrieves only the permitted data and returns it, after which you get an answer in plain language.
What you do not have to do is at least as relevant. No custom integration to have built, no API documentation to plough through, no developer to bring in. The connection is a standard part of the platform, just like the 110+ integrations that already exist.
Read-only, and why that is the most important choice
Fuse AI Connector works read-only. You can ask questions and retrieve insights, but nothing is changed. No invoices adjusted, no subscriptions modified, no customer data overwritten.
That sounds like a limitation and it is one. A deliberate one. Most security incidents with AI connections do not arise because a model looks up something wrong, but because it carries out something no one intended. By simply not granting write permissions, that whole category of risks disappears. What remains is a read query, and a read query cannot do any damage to your records.
On top of that your data stays in your own environment. ResalePartners is Kiwa ISO 27001 certified, the worldwide standard for information security. Worth knowing: as soon as you receive an answer in your own AI tool, the policy of that provider applies there. That is a choice you make yourself with the tool you use, and it is wise to make that choice consciously instead of letting it arise implicitly.
What boards and management teams should watch for with AI connections
There is a reason not to take this lightly. Research from 2026 shows that a considerable share of organisations have no process to validate the security of an AI system before it goes live. At the same time, in virtually every organisation there are already AI tools in use that no one has formally approved.
Four points to establish in advance:
- Read or write. Explicitly determine whether a connection may make changes. With Fuse AI Connector that question is already answered with read-only.
- Who may connect. A connection per user is easier to manage than a shared service account.
- Which data is covered. Less access is almost always sufficient and always safer.
- Where the answer lands. Record which AI tools your organisation allows and under what conditions.
Whoever has established these four points has arranged more AI governance than most organisations in their market. More background on the underlying structure can be found in BI, AI and process control in MSP billing.
Activate in one click, live in three minutes
You activate it via the Fuse AI page in your portal. One click, and the connection is live within three minutes. After that you connect it in your own AI tool and ask your first question.
The first 60 days are free, after that it costs 50 euros per user per month. Fuse AI Connector is immediately available for all partners and is part of Fuse AI, the AI layer in the ResalePortal. If you first want to see what is already possible in the portal itself, start with Fuse AI Chat.
